1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Rust-France statistics website, leaderboard, Steam authentication, Discord account linking, Discord application/bot integration, clan tools, rewards or other related features (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use authenticated or connected-account features. Some public server statistics may remain visible without an account.

2. About Rust-France Services

Rust-France operates a French-speaking Rust community and related statistics tools. The Services may include server rankings, player profiles, wipe history, clans, moderation information, account verification, rewards, community tools and links to Rust-France servers or support channels.

The Services may change over time. Features may be added, removed, limited, reset or temporarily unavailable for technical, moderation, security or operational reasons.

3. Accounts, Steam login and Discord verification

  • Steam is used as the primary identity for authenticated Rust-France player profiles.
  • Discord linking is used to verify the connection between a Rust-France/Steam profile and a Discord identity and may be required for protected account features.
  • You must only link accounts you own or are authorized to use.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam and Discord accounts.
  • Rust-France may enforce a one-Steam-to-one-Discord and one-Discord-to-one-Steam rule to prevent verification abuse.
  • A verified badge or Discord role indicates a successful technical link; it is not an endorsement, identity-document verification or guarantee of a user's conduct.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to:

  • Access another user's account, bypass access controls or impersonate another person.
  • Exploit, automate, scrape or overload the Services in a way that harms availability or other users.
  • Manipulate statistics, rewards, rankings, verification, votes or community systems through fraud, exploits or unauthorized automation.
  • Upload or submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive or abusive content.
  • Attempt to obtain secrets, tokens, credentials, private administrative information or protected data.
  • Use the Services in a manner that violates Rust-France rules, Discord rules, Steam rules, Facepunch/Rust rules or applicable law.

5. Statistics, rankings and public profiles

Leaderboard information is generated from Rust-France server data and other permitted sources. Statistics may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, recalculated or reset, including after wipes, technical failures, anti-cheat actions or data repairs.

Public leaderboard information may include Steam display name, avatar, SteamID64, gameplay statistics, rankings, clan membership, badges and selected cosmetics. By using Rust-France game servers and community features, you acknowledge that server-related statistics can be displayed publicly as part of the service.

Where privacy controls are offered, users may hide supported detailed statistics. Core information may remain visible where necessary for rankings, moderation or service integrity.

6. Clans and user-submitted content

Users may be able to create or manage clan profiles, descriptions, recruitment information, country selections or other community content. You remain responsible for content you submit.

You grant Rust-France a non-exclusive permission to host, display, format and technically process submitted content to operate the Services. We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, community rules or applicable law.

7. Moderation, bans and enforcement

Use of the statistics website does not override Rust-France game-server or Discord rules. Rust-France administrators may moderate the community, restrict features, remove content, suspend account-linked functions or enforce server/Discord sanctions when reasonably necessary to protect the community or enforce applicable rules.

Moderation data shown on the Services is informational and may reflect Rust-France server enforcement or relevant third-party game/platform actions. Separate appeal procedures may apply depending on the sanction.

8. Rewards, badges, titles and cosmetics

Leaderboard rewards, badges, titles, colors, spins, progress systems or similar virtual features are community features unless explicitly stated otherwise. They may be changed, balanced, reset, revoked for abuse or discontinued.

Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, virtual leaderboard rewards have no cash value, are not transferable outside the Services and do not create a right to payment or compensation.

9. Third-party services

The Services interact with or link to third-party platforms such as Steam/Valve, Discord and Facepunch/Rust. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Rust-France does not control third-party availability, accounts, sanctions, API changes or platform decisions.

Rust-France is an independent community and is not presented as an official service of Facepunch Studios, Valve Corporation or Discord Inc. Their names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Intellectual property

Rust-France branding, original website code, layouts, text and community-created materials are protected to the extent provided by applicable law. You may not copy, republish, sell or present Rust-France materials as your own except where permission has been granted or applicable law permits it.

Third-party game assets, logos, trademarks and platform content remain owned by their respective rights holders.

11. Availability and accuracy

The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep statistics and account-linking information accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every statistic, ranking, profile, external API result or historical record will always be complete or error-free.

Maintenance, Rust updates, Steam/Discord API changes, network incidents, wipes, database repairs or third-party restrictions may affect functionality.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rust-France is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from use or temporary unavailability of the Services, loss of virtual leaderboard progress, third-party platform actions or reliance on non-guaranteed statistics.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer or other mandatory law.

13. Suspension or termination of access

Rust-France may suspend or restrict access to protected features when necessary for security, abuse prevention, rule enforcement, maintenance or legal compliance. Users may stop using the Services at any time and may unlink Discord through the Connected Accounts page.

Where appropriate, data handling after termination or unlinking is described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect feature changes, legal requirements, security needs or third-party platform requirements. The current revision date is displayed at the top. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.

15. Governing law

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under applicable French law, without depriving users of mandatory protections that apply in their country of residence. Any dispute should first be raised with Rust-France support so that an informal resolution can be attempted.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through Rust-France Support or through an official Rust-France Discord support ticket.

For information about personal data, Discord API data and deletion requests, see the Privacy Policy.
